Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

How much wood can a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood?

Oh yeah, and what's the meaning of life?

happy flowerforyou (((JAG))) flowerforyou

Chickens came first.

Woodchucks are too busy dodging traffic to actually chuck any wood.

Chocolate!

note to self - invest in chocolate

Dear JAG,

This really cute guy keeps viewing my profile. I keep the same default pic so it's obvious he knows it's me. Should I email him and ask him why? Or should I just keep perving him back and wasting time?

Signed,

Constantly Confused

One question.

Why would you write an email asking WHY he keeps viewing you??

If there is something in his profile ( besides the fact that he's " cute " that interests you ) try emailing him and talking about something.

Nah, he's just cute. Nothing else. I gave him a kick in the butt nudge. I figured that was equal in immaturity to his constant viewing.laugh

Nah. I am just a dude who answers questions. Sometimes serious answers...usually not so serious...lol'

BUT..I usually take my best shot when there is a serious question posted.

He's been very helpful during my moments of stupidity, so he should be a psychologist.

I have a couple of questions before I try to suggest anything.

1) How much did you smoke and for how long before quitting?

2) What have you done to replace the smokes when you are doing things that you would normally have a smoke with? Like reading or sitting at the computer.

I smoked about 18 cigs a day which is a little less than a pack/day.
I smoked for about 15 yrs!!
I was a big time addict of tobacco, nothing else, just tobacco.
I use the electronic cig but now down to the next lowest mg before you reach 0mg.
I am always busy with "stuff" and I work but having anxiety, bizarre dreams, and frequently difficulty sleeping.
I want to learn how to knit and have looked up all the instructions on the internet to keep my hands busy.

Less than a pack a day for 15 years doesn't REALLY qualify for " big time addict " to me...lol...but I do understand.

I have been smoking a pack a day since I was 13...lol

It looks like you have been doing all the right things as far as trying to find ways to keep yourself busy. The problem is, until you are 100% nicotine free ( not even the electronic ones, no matter what the setting is ) then you haven't truly kicked the habit.

You may have stopped regular, light 'em up smokes....but you are still delivering nicotine to your system.

Knitting is going to be a good way to keep your hands busy once your body completely rids itself of the drug.

But, until you do get rid of it altogether, you'll have problems with the " detox " part of it because the toxin isn't really gone.

Thanks JAG, you are right the nicotine is still there with the e-cig. I am also thinking of a 12 step program for nicotine offered at a local church. That would have to be my final step b/c I cannot do this cold turkey.flowerforyou

That's actually a very good idea.

It might even be better to start it as soon as possible because you have managed to cut down the nicotine intake so much at this point.
