Don't waste time being someone you are not. Be open, honest to a "T" and let the chips fall where they may. 25% of people will like you, 25% can grow to like you, 25% can grow to dislike you and 25% will hate you. Forget about the 50% that will not like you and only keep a sharp eye out for the 1 in 3.4 billion that will "love" you just the way you are. Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed. You'll know the "right" one because she would change nothing about you. Patience is the key and weeding through endless miles of superficial bs.

Hmmm tips to dating women.
1. Find one 2. Ask one, if the answer is yes go to #3, if no go back to #1 3. Take one out, if you have a good time go to #4, if not back to #1 4. Call her and thank her for a lovely time, if it's a nice conversation, go to #5, if she hangs up on you go back to #1 5. Ask her out again I could go on but don't want to give you all the answers, that's cheating after all.
