You can't fault the kid's logic...if it's IN the flowerbed it SHOULD be a flower.... I'd never get any yard work done tho lol sorry.

This is all weed and i'm going to have to dig up st. augistine grass too and replant it. Oh my!!! she is going to have a fit, but, we will replant the grass and I think it will be ok with her. laugh

I have to warn you Linda if my kiddo helps she will freak out if you pull weeds lol
She seems to think anything in a flower bed is a flower lol
"DO NOT HURT THE FLOWERS"rofl

She sounds so precious. I just had a nasty ole boy. I would have loved to have a little girl. I think that would have been so neat.

Chris, have you ever got any Knock Out Roses? They are so pretty. I get the double ones and they do not get the diseases that regular roses get. They are great!!

lol
I usually pull the weeds in the rain.
for two reasons
1. Kiddo won't play in the mud , jump in puddles with me yes, but not in the mud
2. they are so easy to pull out lol

I only have one bush. When I got it, I planted it the next day, made the bed with the cypress on the top and the whole nine yards. Well 2 nights later it froze. I was afraid it was going to die. It is just beautiful now. Lots of new growth and about 6 roses on it.

We're covered in snow a lot of the time so I'm not a huge gardener.... but I'd give it a shot
