No. Physical attractions are so immature. If people believe in them then they are shallow and not worth wasting my time on. grumble

I believe that lust at first sight, can become love

realistically this is a loaded question...
and you're going to draw out a lot of answers from the two extremes

however - i'm confident that a person can get that 'butterfly stomach' feeling when they first meet someone and move forward from there.

meanwhile - if someone had full-out, 100% love for another person at first glance, i'd expect them to be pretty manic with their feelings. they'd probably hit a full-out, 100% hate 10 min. later

-----

to the poster several hits above --> "lust" plays a big part of love
(least it does in my world)

I think it's more like "I can imagine myself waking to that adorable face forever" for me...

No. There might be infatuation-at-first-site, but not LOVE-at-first-site.

Though you may be able to feel "in love" with someone at first sight, I think that feelings can often times be deceiving. After getting to know the person, that feeling you had may fade once you know what kind of person they are.

True love comes later IMO

It's never happened to me, but people I know insist that it was true for them and their spouse and who am I to say they are wrong - that what they feel (felt) isn't love?

I fixed my best friend up with a date. Once he got to her house, he never left till they got married. They now have two children and are very happy.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck.....

It's love at first sight.

Hmmmmmmmm, my Dad did tell my mom upon their first dance he was going to marry her. He did and they were together until he died. So I guess it's possible.
