“Place in Life”

Did you finally sit back at last?
And take a look at your life in the past.
Thinking about the things you have done.
Are there things you wish you could have undone?

Or do you realize that no matter what.
That it is too late and that door has been shut.
That regardless what you did in the past.
As you sit here and look around at last.

That life has still been worthwhile.
And upon your face there seems to be a smile.
Just to know that you are happy with you.
Regardless of the life you did pursue.

In the end you look into the mirror at your face.
And you can actually say I have found my place.
In life where I feel that I should be.
Though at times you were brought down on one knee

As you begged someone to help you out.
For life had brought you so much doubt.
But in the end you look in the mirror at your face.
With a smile knowing you have found your place.

Thank you all for taking the time to read. At times we must look at the reflection in the mirror and make that decision and realize we are who we are and be happy with where we are. Does not mean that we can not go farther in life just means we realize we must enjoy who we are now as well.

A beautiful poem....you capture the reality of living...that lives aren't perfect, but that's OK...we can make peace with the past and find satisfaction with where we have been and where we are.
