WITH ALL THAT IS
Love, oh how it permeates every unexpected place, every unsuspecting Soul. It knows where to go, and when to enfold, when to unfold...like a flower touched by both sun and rain. Love radiates amidst darkness and Light, still, and quiet, gently abiding with all that is. Nothing is missed. No one is missed. All of existence taken in. Love bears witness to every need, every deed, whispered or completed in silence, or in solitude of prayer. There is nowhere Love will not go; no place, no space, too grave or depleted for Love to enter and center Itself. ~© JDS 05/14/2009~ |

Lovely.
I like the last stanza: There is nowhere Love will not go; no place, no space, too grave or depleted for Love to enter and center Itself. But when I read it I couldn't help but ponder will love decsend to hell? and remain to reside in the hearts of those who dwell there? http://mingle2.com/topic/show/222791 (just sharing thoughts that came to me when I read this) |

Lovely. I like the last stanza: There is nowhere Love will not go; no place, no space, too grave or depleted for Love to enter and center Itself. But when I read it I couldn't help but ponder will love descend to hell? and remain to reside in the hearts of those who dwell there? http://mingle2.com/topic/show/222791 (just sharing thoughts that came to me when I read this) Yes, Abra, Love did descend into "hell" that day and it is, in part, because of witnessing this that I saw there is NO place Love will not go. I asked myself, in essence, the very question you are now asking, in that write... "In this tiny room I felt Spirit. I needed to look; who or what was present in this very small place? Could Love and Hate both occupy this space? I turned and looked over my shoulder, towards the upper corner of the concrete walls. Nothing was there; yet, I sensed a Presence... It was peace, and then compassion." It is at the very center of "hell" that Love would most seek to go in order to touch and TRANSFORM all experience, all suffering unto Itself again. All is, eventually, enfolded back into Love, into the Sacred (the Source or Origin of all Creation). ....inside of, by way of Transformation then, "hell" no longer exists....Love will abandon no experience, no person....all came from Love and will return to Love.... Love will not abandon Itself. Love cannot separate Itself from Itself. This is the only impossibility for Love. Ty for your thoughts Abra |

"Love,.... permeates ....radiates....bears witness..."
You describe so aptly an energy greater than any dark force that resists it - and all we have to "do" is be open to it. Gently marvellous! |

Good poem ... the last line captures what I think is real love. It goes where it goes because it acts from its own nature, independent of the transient characteristics of place or person, seeking neither invitation nor reciprocity. Perhaps love sees what we are often incapable of seeing?
