fanta...i know i posted th laws at one time lol. but if I remember...there are certain circumstances when use of deadly force is acceptable. but i've slept since then lol

but in this case...they were idiots. pesonaly i would have called the cops myself. i would only fire a gun if i thought my life or my families lives were in danger

in this case....they weren't trespassing according to the city

I belive that they made the decision to shoot onto a common area was it? If that was the case, even if no one was injured they would or at least in states that I have lived in, been charged.
Agian, I feel exhausted, this had nothing to do with guns and society.

Sec. 9.42. DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY. A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:

(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41; and

(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:

(A) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or

(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and

(3) he reasonably believes that:

(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or

(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

actually I do. the man (who is a circuit court judge) owned a karate studio where my son used to take lessons from (i know it's not a studio though lol) and the owner was great friends with chuck norris. i got to meet him. he was very polite and very nice
