I prefer the truth. The thing about lies is that they have a way of coming back to bite you in the butt. When that happens it is going to hurt that person you lied to a whole lot more than the truth would have. My problem is that I have been lied to soooooo much that I have a hard time trusting/recognizing the truth.

The truth always. It may hurt you to find out, but in the end you will be better off knowing. If you get the lie that makes you feel better, eventually the truth will come out and you will end up hurt way more than it would have in the first place.
