How do you feed it? If you use fish pellets of some sort place the net in the water, float the pellets above the net, when it comes to eat lift the net.

He eats goldfish food.koi food and tadpoles or whatever else hatches in the pond...he is tooo fast...a bass strikes like lightning.

no offense but i think its kinda unfair to yank one fish to put others in a tank just becuase you're tired of the first one.

thats a real bummer for the fish as they already are used to their environment. ya know?

but whatever.

spend a day with a giant net and comb the pond.

nahhhhh...first of all the bass was just a very small baby when i put him in...i didnt' put him in there to keep him...just to let him grow a lil without being eatin by larger fish in the lake. If I kept a BIG mouth bass in my KOI/goldfish pond he would eat them ALL...I have planned from the beginning to put him back in the lake with his cousins where he belongs. I failed to forsee how hard it would be to get him out. The mosiquito fish that will reolaCE HIM are very much in need down here in the south...they eat mosquito larvae that hatch into mosquitos that harbor west nile virus and kill harm humans....so....i dont' feel tooo bad...gave BUBBA a chance to get larger and trying my best to return him to his home.drinker

you might try getting a cast net ..they have weights on the ends and toss it over him then drag it back by the main line weights will seal the bottom and there he stays till you get him out..bigsmile

Well, I can fish if someone ELSE puts the worm on my hook. And then, of course, takes the fish OFF the hook. BUT *I* do all the hard work in between!!!

.it builds up GOOD bacteria sorta like a vagina does

surprised

BEST analogy I could come up with..VERY true.! Many fish die because of people trying to CLEAN there tanks too well...gotta leave a certain amount of "OLD" water...also akin to SOURDOUGHhappy

well, my mosquito fish might be here tomorrow...if that is the case I may have no choice but to make a "screen cage" for the mosquito fish to keep them safe until I can remove BUBBA!

Once I get Bubba back to his natural environment, I will be able to by me an ANGELFISH to go with my koi I named PECCY bigsmile
