So basically what a pessimist is saying by being that way is, I have been hurt and don't want to go through it again so if I expect every bad thing to happen I will not be shocked nor hurt by the outcome. Or simply don't hurt me. I also think that with this mentality the universe gives people exactly what they want and expect. So......they can say..."See??? I was RIGHT"!!! Its always about being right.....in the end isnt it??

It's like yesterday.... a near miss... could have ended messily.... three people in the car.... the driver gets out after and is all about the joy of being alive... the front pasenger swearing, raging, and coming up with all the negatives that COULD have happened... the rear passenger vomiting, and in full blown fear state... three different ways of veiwing the same near miss.
