You meant to say "news"! the problem with this country is we let liberals have a say.

As a lifelong Independent I would say No!

The problem is the Republican Party needs to be gone from our political landscape and replaced by a new second party who realizes the People are more important to America than their rich, power hungry friends!

I don't think the Republicans have a monopoly on that. You don't think trial lawyers and unions are power hungry?

I often wonder if people have forgotten the Clinton/ Gore years.. Republicans get linked with companies like ENRON and Halliburton. Let's remember that Clinton bent over backwards to push ENRON contracts overseas. Ron Browns fateful trip to Croatia was to push a deal for ENRON.

Lets not forget:

"One such project, a power plant in India, played a big part in Enron’s demise. The company had trouble selling the power to local officials, adding to its huge $618 million loss for the third quarter of 2001. Former President Clinton worked hard to secure the India deal for Enron in the mid-90s; not surprisingly, his 1996 campaign received $100,000 from the company. Yet the media makes no mention of this favoritism. Clinton may claim he was "protecting" tax dollars, but those tax dollars should never have been sent to India in the first place."

http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul499.html

Both parties are in the tank for the companies and people that can send them money to get themselves re elected. That is all this is about. Ill do this for you, and you do this for me..

John Murtha is probably the most corrupt man or woman to ever serve a lifetime in congress.. Almost every day I read another article listing people and companies that he has directed huge sums of dollars in appropriations. They have in turn donated millions to his 16 or so re election campaigns.

John Murtha and people like him are the problem. If one day, we all can't get past this party line blame game BS, we are all going to pay a huge price, and it wont matter one damn bit what party you belong to.

That actually kind of hurts to hear, people are designed to be ruled? So your saying basically, the people who go out on a binge, and go open up thier own company, such as the creator of McDonalds, or Walmart, Or that Local Car Dealership near your house, the entrepeneurs of today's world, Are destined to be ruled? I disagree with this statement, because... The fact that these guys can just get up and split if they really want to. They can say "**** The US" and leave, they have the money, that ability, and that power. I wouldn't call that being ruled, would you? What happens when they finally do leave btw? Haha.

I agree. But, those you list as an example, are ending up ruling the rest.

I meant the people, as in average, the most of.

Well if that isn't unconstitutional, unpatriotic, etc... Although I would agree that right wingers should have no say, I realize that there needs to be a balance in this country. Neither shoulod have ultimate power. It is as it should be.

Well you know...

Here comes the inevitable boot or suspension but...there are more idiots than a legion could shake a stick at...here and in the larger world. (You know...the non-Minglers?)

Those who condemn others...let's see...let's start with those who condemn people with educations while they themselves couldn't write a readable sentence if their lives depended on it.

Does that bother any of you? Do you remember when getting an education, whether it be in stone masonry or mathematics and making a success of your life based on pursuing educational goals was a cornerstone of the American dream and not something that made you a "nerd" or an "elitists"? Some people understand this. Sadly they seem to be people in foreign nations who are more than willing to be scientists, engineers and the like.

Those that harp about "The Founders" who couldn't tell you what the Federalist Papers are and who certainly never read them.

Those who spout $hit about religion, both in their personal lives and in the public square, who act in ways so repugnant that I have to wonder when encountering them why they bother?

You know, the preachers who entrench themselves in trappings of wealth while their flocks starve, the ones who preach family values while having affairs both homo and hetero sexual, the Christians who advocate killing those who they see as un-Christian, the ones who cheat on their taxes...they are walking talking examples of an affront to the scriptures...but they don't care...they pick and choose among what they say are God's words. They don't need God...they have already decided to judge in God's stead.

Those who rail about justices "legislating from the bench" when had they inquired, would have found those justices they were vilifying are the ones now defending their rights.

I could go on but I won't.

I have seen people on this site saying neat stuff that makes me wonder how they made it through elementary school.

We are increasingly an ignorant and arrogant nation. That works though...sit in front of the television. Post inane crap...rumors and ravings called fact. (I guess those people at least pretend interest are a little better than those who don't bother to have an opinion...maybe) Make pundits your truth tellers, be fed your truths, hate, fear, make villains of strangers who have different skin colors, spy on your neighbors, line up like cattle to move around, want a chip under your skin (what do you have to fear if you do nothing wrong)....fight among yourselves...because you are easier to control.

Stupidity is rampant...look at these posts.

That's alright though? After all, don't teach English...it might offend minorities.

(Waits for applause)

Don't teach science! It might interfere with Christian myth!

(Waits to be burned on a cross)

Don't teach children to question authority! It might...

You see where I am going?

Somehow I doubt it!

Idiots abound, idiots who cannot write a basic sentence let alone conduct an inquiry or stand on their own two feet.

They are all around you.

They embrace ignorance and myth in the name of the own prejudices, religions, fears that lead the way to our mutual demise...each time labeling them with proud brand able names tied to things associated with religion and tradition.

fear not...in the end...in our last uttered whisper one of us surly ignorant bastards will like whisper with his or her dying breath,..."I was right!"

So...All Hail Ignorance! It really is so much easier for most people right?

We can find fault with anything, blame a number of things for it, vent, and do nothing. We have just blamed something/someone else for the problem so we are free to ignore it.

Republicans, democrates, independents, leaders, laws, taxes, media, each other..... THAT is the problem! Nobody can agree. There is a problem, we all know and see it, we think or feel it is beyond us to fix it, so we complain, vent, and wait for someone else to step up.... and maybe we will follow if it fits and we don't have to do much.

We have lost independence! We allow "leaders" to sign away our rights to do anything, and allow them the power to do so, because we can't change it alone. BS!

We are Americans! There are many of us, and only a few in our way causing this grief upon us. They can't do anything we don't allow them to, and while we battle amongst ourselves they are free to manipulate the outcome. If we start to "unite", they will give us another event that will renew a separation.

Think "Do unto others"! We are individuals, not so powerful alone maybe, but if our cause is "just" others will join us, regardless of popular opinion. Revolutions are not begun by ALL the people, just a few, and when people begin to open their eyes and see the true evil, they will take sides against it.

I sure don't have the answers to bring a "perfect peace" among people. I can't tell you what we can do to "FIX" anything! I can only tell you that the problem we find ourselves in is not right, and it must be corrected, and the people making changes for us now aren't doing very well at it! I for one think it needs to be changed yet again!

When you make a mistake on a post, you edit it, until you are pleased with it, and that is what we need! We need to edit what we are given, continually, until we find something that works! Those leading us now...... it's not working! Too little, too late! Wrong math! Compounding and issue, confusing rights and laws, blurring lines (like the torture issue) is not going to fix it!

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

We're not lawyers! When we let them change "subparagraph c of section a article 2 of amendment 307j of HR 206e" (only an example), what does it mean to us? Do we, most of us, even bother to read it? If we do, do we know what it says? We need to question!

I'll defend each and every one of you! We may disagree, that is your right, you may even alienate or challenge me, again your right, but I see liberties stolen from each and all of us, and though we disagree, I will seek answers and hope for solutions, that benefit all! Perhaps my opinion is not sound, but without honest answers, in laymens terms we can understand, how can any of us know the truth to base an opinion on?

Dems arent organized enough to harm America.

Even Dems dislike Clinton.
The Repubs however are like a Mob.
Their organized, bent on Power, and are voting as a bloc trying to disrupt recovery and cause Obama to fail!
They will stoop to anything in their quest even hurting Americans!

They are acting in a premeditated manner and threatening party support to their own members if they wont vote with them.

Listen to Arlen Specter talk about it one day!

That is my sincere assessment of what is wrong. A country full of the ignorant, the intellectually lazy, the willfully blind along the easily distracted. Hatred, hypocrisy, fear, ignorance and prejudice are rampant...heck they cultivated and even celebrated in state halls and from the pulpit.

Interesting comment, "This sounds like something from Yagodas NKVD handbook.." haha I suppose you had to say something in response to my post...even something that makes little or no sense.
