do you help your fellow man, when needed? The other day; I was on a bus and noticed people having car trouble. No one was stopping to help. I asked the bus driver to let me off , I would help them. so, he let me off, and I did help them out. They wanted to pay me; I simply said , I would not think of that, at all. I just want to help if I see, I can. That's all.(This post is not to boast.) But, my thinking is to help others if possible.

i like to give kindness, but I don't like to boast about it... I help when I can.. where I can... it's usually small, and personal...

if I were rich, I would give more... of time and money...

I was going into work last night and there was an older man sitting on one of the benches outside. It was shift change so a lot of people coming and going.

I noticed him sitting by himself and he was looking kind of lonely and out of place. I smiled at him and said, "Hi, how are you today?"
He just looked at me with a big smile and spark in his eye and said, "You are the first person to walk through here with any kind of spice in her life! Thank you for saying hi and I hope your spice lasts the rest of the day."

It is the little things that make people smile and validate their existence.

I didn't take it as a reason to boast, just answered the question. I took his question to be -

Have you been presented with situations that someone you know or a stranger needed something and you embraced the opportunity unselfishly without thinking of potential consequences and lent a hand, or did you pass it by thinking someone else will take care of it? Answers will say a lot about a person's character.

oh my no, I did not mean to emply that at all... blushing

one example... I think children should get new bikes on Christmas... so before christmas I will buy a bike from the department store, and give it to charity so some child will get a new bike for Christmas (who otherwise may not have received one)...

no malice intended, this is a nice post smile2

One should always help where opportunities present themselves. Think of how much better this world would be if everyone did that.

but it'll never happen. Most people are way too selfish and self-centered...among other things...

I disagree Arcamedees. Most people are kind, loving, generous and open. However, our society tends to put too much emphasis on the negative.flowerforyou

I do things when I can. Being a woman I have to be careful especially when I am alone but if I can help I do.

I gave a ride to a guy rolling a tire down the street. He had a flat and was taking the tire to be fixed. He was shocked. I knew he lived in the apartments where I lived so he wasn't completely unknown to me. I would do more if I was a man because men do not have to be quite so careful.

I see people on the side of the road with a broken car and I always want to stop but if I am alone I can't.

one time i DIDN'T kick some random man on the street in the cojones when he grabbed my ass. i figure that's a level of kindness on my part that deserves some sort of accolade...
