I think you can tell the mood they are currently in but no more than that.

I don't know about the whole "window to the soul" thing, but eyes tell a lot...

You can tell a lot by the eyes! Since your body gives away so many tell tail signs....

I believe the eyes are the window to the souls. And if you take the time and look, you will be able to see.

I think you can tell a lot of things by a persons eyes. You can generally tell if they are a nice, kind person or an SOB lol...notice I said Generally. I think when people are kind and generous of spirit, that it shows.

Long ago, I used to believe the "window to the soul" idealogy.
I think it now comes down to how much that person has gone through as to how well it displays their inner self.
Having experienced deception, I now believe they can be used as a tool.

Personally, I think I'm pretty good at seeing things about a person by their eyes. You can see (with some) if they are hard or gentle, looking to the future or cynical, etc. Then again, there are those that have been masking themselves for so long that they can fool everyone, including themselves.

I'm big into people watching. I love observing actions and reactions. Also, being a photog, I love being able to capture someone's nature on film. And to me, the eyes tell one hell of a story.
