It's in your printer drivers, go to control panel/hardware&sound/printers... right click the printer icon, select properties - and it will give you the option to align the print head

Ditto.

You may fix it, after much or trouble. Personally, I think inkjet printers (consumer tier) are designed to be like a Chinese made bicycle. You want to turn a nut and the whole fork bends.

Just not worth thinking about.

On commercial tier side, I've seen some pretty reliable machines, from HP to OCE. Not the same as consumer market.

Not long after the inkjet printers became cheap and more popular, for the price to buy new ink cartiges, I figured, I could just get another printer instead. (almost same price)
I think I have gone through at least 7 printers in the past 10 years.

Finally I settled with one....if anything breaks, it goes to the trash without thinking...but not that I use it a lot anymore , ever since i graduated from college.
