Google is one of the fastest browsers out there. But for some reason some sites with that use active X dont work well with it. I used it for a while cause i love google products but in the end the sites that it didnt work with are ones i always go to. best advise i can give you is play with it yourself and if you dont like it get rid of it.

Thanks for the replies.
I tried it but didn't like the way you can't click the center mouse button to scroll down pages lol and I told them so too If they implement that feature I'll get it again. |

There was a thread about Chrome before.
It is not a good choice. Well, for an American, anyway. Why? What Chrome "sees" as an available, existing internet is not what it really is. The google makes a decision on every URL that a chrome user would like to visit. Only if Google allows that url, can the chrome user actually "get there". Say, you're looking for something that Google doesn't approve. Like a crack... The web site will be there only as long as Google let's it to be browsable by the chrome. Or, let us say you're looking us something that isn't what the government wants you to read about... It won't be there. And this is a feature that a user can not "turn off". So, good luck sleeping with big brother. |

Studies have shown that overall it really not considerably faster than any of the others and many pages are in fact slower.

i don't really like it.IMO it's a little TOO simple and it lacks features that most people use and as Thomas said,it doesn't seem any faster than Firefox

Some articles also state that Google Chrome is supposedly less-secure than Firefox and some competing browsers.

I didn't really like Chrome. I prefer open source browsers, I'm currently using Firefox.

The thing that stuck in my craw about Google Chrome was the EULA, which essentially allowed them to look into your computer for stats and other "non-personal" information, which is a fiasco just waiting to happen.

Personally, I don't like anything Google. I'm perfectly fine with Firefox.

Ummm, Google Chrome is Open Source: http://code.google.com/chromium/ http://code.google.com/apis/v8/ http://webkit.org/ In-fact the code from v8 (the Javascript engine) has helped Mozilla improve their own Javascript performance in Firefox 3.5+ (check out the beta). I got so used to Firefox, that I feel uncomfortable using anything else. I can modify this, download addons, change the theme, add/remove buttons, separate search field so on and so forth. The 2nd best browser of my choice would be Opera or Safari.

Google Chrome checks a list of URLs that are considered bad (Phishing / Malware sites). Guess what.... So does Firefox. Guess which list Firefox checks.... The list managed by Google. Please DO NOT believe everything you read. Ta, Chris. |

Really? This bothered you? Ever read the Ts & Cs for Facebook, MySpace, Mingle 2 or Windows? |

Hmmm I'm sounding like a Google Fanboy...
I'm not, my main browser is Camino / Safari and I use very few Google Products. |
