I do believe in them or something like them. I was married to a very violent drunk and I noticed that after every extremely violent "episode" he would get hurt, somehow it was like "somebody thumped him on the head" or "gave him a push" and he would fall and get hurt. I wondered for years about the possibility of someone watching out over me and who it could be. I had a grandpa die when I was 3, don't remember him, and a grandma died when my dad was 12 so who knows, but was always curious to see that it was like "someone" would reach down and whack him and he would go down.

Maybe just his guilty conscience on some really deep level but.....???

Can you say "just desserts??"

My Grandfather.

He and I were very close as I grew up. After he died, my grandmother gave me an old Grandfather clock they had. It has never worked and I kept meaning to have it fixed.

One night I was having an especially hard time. I was crying and upset and the clock chimed 12 times. It's been in my house for over five years and has never made a sound. I smiled that night and will never get that old clock fixed.

Yes, I believe in Guardian Angels.

Beach...you know roughly my story. And the stories I could tell you!!! It is EXACTLY as you say, to sum it up..at significant times and moments since, is when it happens. Sometimes out of the blue, but generally there is something going on.

Hebrews 13

2Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

That verse actually was speaking of Abraham, as he did this in the O.T. But it does also remind me of Psalms 91 vs 11..
"for He will give His angels charge over you, to guide you in all of your ways"

offtopic Sorry Beach...just thought that is a comfort.

No guardian angels here. However, I DO have a sneakin' suspicion that I'm being followed by a dog-faced "demon"-

I was on my computer, typing out an email to a friend when I looked over to my left and noticed something resembling a dachshund (only with bulldog-like jowls), brown in color, scampering down a hallway on two legs in a quasi hunched-over manner.

I got up to try to find out what the HECK was goin' on, and found nothing.

The next day, I was watching some show on angels and demons in The History Channel, and they showed something that looked almost like the apparition I saw- a dog-faced demon, standing on a boulder or something in some artwork.

So I'm probably screwed in some way, huh.

I've heard of the hounds of hell, but I never thought they'd be dachshunds... bigsmile

My Dad is definitely my guardian angel. He told me to go to a job interview over 500 miles away when he was in his Hospice bed and make it happen. He passed three days before I was to travel to the interview but I made it and turned right around and drove back home for my Father's memorial services.

I strongly believe that he was instrumental in turning my life around and obtaining the position and he keeps watch over me daily in my new location.

I am so fortunate to have my Father watching over me daily.

<--------two of my guardian angels....here to remind me how precious life is, and what an honour it is to be a mother.
