In life i have come to see that it is true. Nice guys(like me) finish last. Why?

Because they are always whining about being nice guys.

I'm sorry that wasn't nice. I don't believe it's true. I believe those who finish last tend not to act but wait.

Nice guys tend to be doormats, they are apathetic and lack passion. They aren't opinionated or strong willed. Nice guys, at least self proclaimed ones, tend to be resentful towards people with whom they have given or done something for.... and thus bitter.


It NOT up to the person to decide if they are nice, it's up to the others in their life.


And truly nice guys finish first. I hear this a lot and it's true.

I am coming to the conclusion that the 'nice guy finishes last' threads are nothing more than a plea for women to rush to reassure the OP that we do indeed want nice men. Maybe because it wouldn't be "nice" to post a thread entitled 'hey ladies check me out'?

It depends on how you define nice guy. I have found the 99.9% of men online dating sites define themselves as nice guys.

At any rate, I do believe that women in our culture tend to see men who are actually concerned, caring and respectful toward them as weak. This then has more to do with the woman than you, if of course you are one of those rare "Nice Guys".

A Nice Guy in my eyes is a man who has integrity in every aspect of his life. He is straight forward and honest about his desires, needs and INTENTIONS towards each and every women he dates. Opening a door for a woman does not a Nice Guy make! LOL

Most guys that call themselves "nice guys" really arn't so very nice at all. Its sends up red flags when a guy refers to himself as a "nice guy".
