Yes indeed. I stopped loving my ex husband but we are friends now and I care about him. I dont love my ex hubby anymore, nor do i like him or respect him but he is still in my life because we had a child together... of course we are decent to each other, but i really dont care for the person he has grown into. Bummer... especially for my boy.

It's very possible to care more than we are willing to admit for someone that has touched our hearts in the past. One might even consider it to be called love, even if the love is in a different form than it may once have been.

Absolutely! Loving someone for me involves opening up my heart and I feel if I didnt care about them to begin with I wouldnt have loved them. But caring about them doesnt mean you have to put up with them. Caring from a distance is easier.

Seven years ago, a year after my long marraige ended, I fell in love with a wonderful woman. The relationship was rocky at times, but the majority of the time it was fabulous!!! Three years ago she moved back to Buenos AIres, her birthplace. We are still close, we talk a lot, she is here once a year. I still love her, but more like a sister now. I will always love her. Love has no end.

Thanks Meg and Tess !! Eveyday I kiss her photo. And everytime we speak I tell her that I will think of her and rememeber how much I love her every day for the rest of my life. Tom
