I have googled it...read about it on webmd and other such sites. I was interested in any personal stories, maybe what made you think you had it? etc

Thanks! flowerforyou

I sometimes feel like I have it, because there are times that I can;t sleep. Sometimes I get up like at 7A mainly because I am used to waking up early on Sat because I have class at ITT Tech

One of my ex's had it.

It is hard to sleep with them. They stop breathing and you can feel the bed move as their diaphram tries to breath for several seconds that feel like minutes until it breaks through and then they snore really really loud. They do this mostly on their back but can do it on their sides. They also thrash a bit, slinging arms and legs a bit during this process as though their body is trying to free up the breathing pathways.

It is bad for their heart and they really should get it addressed.

If they sleep in the recliner instead of laying down they will be able to breath.

I don't know about the snoring part. I do know I thrash around a lot by the looks of things when I wake up! The covers are all over the floor, hanging off of the bed. I wake up a thousand times a night, sleep in intervals, feel exhausted. I have been chalking it up to life but am beginning to think it could be this.

Go to the doctor and get checked my brother after having it many years found out he had it due to his wife 10 years ago talked him in to getting checked out. Thank goodness she did he has to sleep with a oxygen mask on now he use to have big dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep now they are gone and he says he sleeps like a baby. Took time to get use to sleeping like that but he says it is well worth it in the end.

Lack of sleep causes all kinds of problems too. Weight gain, over stress, over eating, those are the ones I can think of but there are lots of them.

Yes exhaution and sleeping at bad times are results too.

I did a sleep study a few months back to see if I have it (ironically, I couldn't sleep) but it appears that I don't have it. If you do have it you may need a CPAP mask to keep your airways open when you sleep. If you're overweight then losing weight will be of immense benefit (if it's one of the two types). Only way to be sure that you have it is to get a sleep study done.
