I run into this occasionally -- and rarely does anyone ever see me without dark glasses, because my eyes are very sensitive to bright light and I get excruciating headaches -- but if people choose to see that as "hiding," well, so be it -- that's a choice they make....

I have a similar issue with bright sunlight or even electrical lighting can bother me. Are your eyes blue? Sometimes blue eyes are a lot more sensitive to light.

Yeah, very blue and very myopic.

Yeah, the problem with blue eyes is they fade also so that only gets worse with age. Wear sunglasses and it will help that.

I'm light sensitve too and if you drive up to me with a white car on a sunny day, there's no way I can keep my eyes open so I'll keep my sun glasses on so that I can see who I'm talking to. It's not easy for me to see on a bright day anyways. If you think I'm trying to hide, well, that's not going to be my problem. I made the mistake of buying a white car back in the 70's and ended up painting the hood semi flat black lol.

I'm not real sure what that has to do with the price of poop in Guadalajara, but whatever....

I wear em because I got sick and tired of llhamas and king cobras spitting in my face. 10,000 elvis impersonators can't be wrong.

Yak spit is a b!tch. But it makes for a great hair gel in a pinch in the middle of bum you know egypt. Camel spit is just nasty though. Just no usage whatsoever. Even the natives agree. They said they've tried everything. They explained it doesn't even work for a sexual lubricant. Of course that was more information than I wanted to know.

So yeah, I wear dark shades for eye protection. But I usually take them off to converse with humans.

My daughter suffers from severe migraine headaches and HAS to wear dark glasses at all times even in school due to the lighting. She is also sound sensitive when we go someplace and the music is too loud I have to ask them to turn it down a notch or leave. Went twice last week to get a shot for migraines.

when i am driving or outside i wear my sunglasses all the time. i never thought about it being rude to talk to someone with my sunglasses on, but i do pull them off when i first meet someone so they can see my beautiful eyes, then i put them right back on again! the sun in texas is brutal and i will continue wearing them daily!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
