Now that Obama has been in office for a few months, has multiplied the national debt 4 times the previous debt, put in office people he promised he wouldn't have in his administration like lobbiests, tax cheaters that couldn't even qualify to work for the IRS..but run them, extended the Iraq war, Increased the war in Afganistan, and bowed to a Saudi King, asked for military help from our now loving allies, and receiving none, and are making friends of terrorists...Are you feeling like the change you signed up for is cheating you of real change??

I voted for him. I'm happy that he's President and Bush and McCain are not.

Also, Obama hasn't been President very long.

And already he is doing damage you do not seem to comprehend the long term effects on this nation will be.

I would NEVER bow to anyone as president unless forced to do so by sheer press of annihilation. The debt we now are incurring is greater than anything the Bush administration strapped us with. So what we put a band aid on the problem now and a few people are made happy, so what? The problem we are facing is just like a band aid on a septic ulcer!

Also the so called "Experts" he is putting into office are all wholly incompetent. Can you not see the Cronyism going on? This is a larger version of Tammany Hall!

You are most certainly right about that. He didn't have time to cause the damage that we see today...flowerforyou

I agree winx, it didn't start with him, but you would think that if the damage was started before him, he would work to repair the damage, not take more, bigger shots at the damage and make it worse?? This debt that we are strapped with is more then we will ever be able to pay for..what happens when our note holders( china, Japan, Russia) decide that we are not worth the note and decide to foreclose on us??

Someone who did any investigating would have come to realize that the "change" Obama spoke of was merely a cliche he free tossed around without anything or idea to really back it up.

On his campaign website he would speak of "change" and how Bushes policies hurt us. In the next sentence he would talk up things like the "no child left behind" policy. He would talk about Iraq being a waste of money, then talk about wanting to increase foreign and military aid to third world countries by 50 billion dollars a year on top of increasing troop presence in Afganistan.

All you had to do is listen. The problem is his speeches point out the obvious, and they sound so good, that no one looked at his policies. They heard what he was saying instead.

Has had his chance. His first move of "change" was to immediately surround himself with people from the Clinton administration, and even a few from Bush's. That proves that he is happy withhow things are run, and doesn't want to change much of anything. Second, he votes to continue things like the Patriot Act, and now his administration is pushing gun control and trying like hell to control our first amendment as well.

He is running us on the same course we have been on for a long time. I have seen NO EVIDENCE of change.

rant

Sorry....kinda got carried away...

We may not agree very often, but i really don't think you are "wrong" on much of anything, for what that's worth. You explain yourself with personal experience, and unlike many on here, you actually explain your standpoint. We can learn a lot from you.

IMHO,
He picked up the torch. He could have rejected many ideas. Granted, he rejected just enough to keep his followers appeased.
Because of his popularity, he is able to make even greater strides towards our demise.
I fortunately missed the show that hypnotized the masses or was it the 3D glasses?

I agree, winx, I have always enjoyed talking with you. I know that his promises are hollow, and could see through it before, but I was surprised by the amout of hate being spit out, and how now it is justifying his horrible policies today. I listened to a dem pundit last night go down her list of talking points...a year ago you would have thought that she was working for Bush...it is amazing how he has pulled the wool over peoples eyes..

I think he's doing the best he can with what he has. He's working to please both sides.

Thank, you.flowerforyou We've been able to disagree politely.

I, too, have been surprised by the hate. I do know the reason for some it by what some people have said and when it's hate...the logic goes out the window to me.

I don't think he's pulled the wool over people's eyes. He has surprised us with a few things but basically he's kept his campaign promises. He can't please everybody all of it the time. And...he's a politician. lol

IMO..i don't want a politician (no matter who) try to please both sides....I want him/her to do what's best for the people
