He came to this earth from heavens shore, Christ, God in the flesh to cleanse us from sin, heal our sicknesses and more.
(JOHN 3:16) He paid the price, he became our sacrifice!
a bloodied fate, all for me and you,the bible shall state.
Praise to the cross, death and hell is not the final end!
On the third day he arose up from the grave, to be forever with us an eternal friend!
praise to the cross
Jesus is alive
no more sorrow
no more pain
as long as in christ your hope remain!
(JOHN: 14:6)

Ehm... You are in violation of the 1st commandment of your own book...

thou shalt have no other...

why would you praise something that is but of the earth...

and placed christ between you and GOD...

is the third day a literal day... Or a god sized day (in which case you will see him in another 1000 years.

God came to earth as man (JESUS CHRIST)to be the sacrifice for our sins.

John 1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

JESUS IS THE WORD.....Jesus was in the beginning with God...Genesis 1
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Who is the US talking about....GOD, JESUS, & the Holy Spirit. The three are ONE. The Word was God...JESUS.

GET IT? GOT IT? GOOD!

It's a great poem, it really is. Thank you.

I think what Adventure was referring to was simply your choice of words in the title. It's not actually the cross for which we offer praise, yet to the man, the God-man that died on the cross.

Technically, in that sense, I have to agree with him.

But we know where your heart is, and that's a beautiful thing!

Is this a serious question?

If so you must be referring to this verse:

2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So I suppose what you were inferring is that since Christ died two thousand years ago, and if a day is like a thousand years to God, then, it would still be another thousand years before Christ rises from the dead.

That is so far out of line with scripture, and with truth. In this case, as in many cases which speak of time, yet not all, Christ's resurrection did in fact occur after the third literal day of His death.

Christ was seen by over 500 people after He had risen. And because He has risen, and subsequently ascended, we now have the Holy Spirit among and within us to further confirm that truth.

And since we are talking about verses in 2 Peter, the follwing verse helps to bring verse 8 into context and in my opinion should be one that you pay more particular attention to:

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

As far as when He is coming back:

Matthew 25:13
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

But I will also say that based upon what we see going on in the world, and in the hearts and minds of most people, it won't be long.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NLT

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.

For people will love only themselves and their money.

They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful.

They will consider nothing sacred.

They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control.

They will be cruel and hate what is good.

They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly.

Stay away from people like that!

I don't know about you, but to me that sounds an aweful lot like today.

Peace

The cross is a wonderful thing if you see God and Jesus as the same. Instead of thou shall not it is take up your cross and follow me. God had his cross to bear. Jesus had his cross to bear. We have our cross to bear.
