Please know that while there are events in my life digging up memories, this poem is about those memories and not anything happening now. It is also a conglomeration of past events both distant and recent and not just one.

It is my very distinct privilege and honor to share with so many talented people on this board.

Perhaps the disclaimer should not be needed, however my friends tend to know that I normally only write in the present. I wouldn't want any of them to think I was currently in distress over this. More importantly, I wouldn't want anyone to mistakenly construe this to be about them and believe that our friendship was in peril.
