Meh....there are a couple of people from my immediate area on here. One of them was a lady from my city that looked somewhat familiar, though I couldn't be sure, so I shot an email off to her to ask where I might have known her from. She read the mail, but never replied.

Thankfully, no that has not happened to me. That might be a bit awkward if it happened too. lol The only reason I can see for awkwardness is if we are not who we claim to be. I have met and enjoyed the company of several forum members. I would embrace the thought of accidentally encountering any of you in public, but then I'm not a fugazy... |

Anywhere on the street or a store ..did anyone ever come up to you and say...I recognize you from a site? OH yeah... I live in such a small community that it happens about once a month or so..I just smile and ask them are they having any luck on the site. I haven't on this site a different one though. |

It's never happened to me either...but I do have a question: Why are so many embarrassed to be on a site? I've been recognized in the past, and also questioned about it, but never found it embarrassing. |

Well I didn't.......so I googled it to look it up....and then I got sidetracked by my daughter bringing in yet another stray dog...then I had to go buy dog food......then the phone rang....well you see where this is going! Hummm nope has never happened to me but if it did I would not be embarrassed at all most likely would have a conversation about some on the site lol.

This happened to me a few nights ago.. Not from mingle, but another site.. I was in a store with my friend. Got up to the counter and the guy asked if my friend was my brother. I said no.... Then he says he's seen me. Ok. Weirdo. THEN he grabbed his laptop from behind the counter and showed me my profile!
OMG.. I just said 'Yep, that's me!' and ran. Freaked me out... So embarrassing. |
