Im doing the patch thing the craves come and go a bit but its the anxiety part that hurting the most frown

My Dad said that Wellbutrin made him not care that he wasn't smoking.
And he had been smoking for over 50 years.

You might want to look into that.
Is that treated for anxiety? i think my mom was takeing it for a while for stress.

If your anxiety is too severe (like mine was), ask your Doc for a low-dose prescription of xanax.

50 years!!! And not care wow...Now thats haveing heart with pills or a pacth.

He used the Wellbutrin with the patch. He found out that that was the only way he could quit. That's the way I'm going to do it too - by July.

My Dad has emphysema and severe COPD now from smoking. He would be healthy if it weren't for that. His doc said that because my Dad has emphysema, that increases my chances in getting it.

One good reason why i want to quit #1 My son every time i get to pick him up from his moms house he allways ask me dad when are ya gonna quit.#2 Cancer runs through my family really bad. And watching my Grandpa and my dad was not fun.

It could be. I know people that have taken it for depression.

That's the clincher with getting the insurance to cover it. I forget which one is which but there is Wellbutrin and Buprion. They are both the same thing but one is used for stop smoking and one is for depression - for insurance purposes. You would have to ask your doc which way to go for insurance coverage.

That's why I'm quitting too. My child keeps asking me when am I going to quit. I'm a single parent and my child needs me to be around for as long as I can.

I quit at the end of 2008 and have not gone back. Try to hang in there because it will so worth it. I used the lozenges to get me over the rough spots and that seemed to work.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

The patches work! Put 'em over your eyes, and you won't be able to find your smokes! bigsmile

wellbutrin really works bigsmile (I didn't stick with it though)grumble

I've asked my doc for Wellbutrin to use with the Nicotine patch. He suggested Chantrix. I'm still leaning towards my way.

Winx, chantix made me have horrible thoughts. Wellbutrin and the patch are a good combo. Good luck.

I was a three pack a day smoker. It was hard to quit, but I did it for my kids. I have been smoke free since 1988.

Why are cigarette's so easy to pick up but so hard to quit? I am working on 12 hours with out one and i will be honest.. i do not feel so well. sick I know i need to quit but wow this is hard.I am useing the patch hopefully things will get much more smooth for me in the next Couple of days embarassed

I'm going through the same thing, its been 2 days for me. I've noticed certain actions (sitting in front of the computer) trigger the urge to smoke.
