My fledging now grown And flown I sit quietly Alone contemplating What this new spring Might bring … The ice will melt A new warmth felt Hand delivered by A sunny smile Shining down On a ground Once frozen My flowers will Thrive once again A colorful array on display Brightly bursting forth Blossoming under the Gentle smile of a sun Gaily announcing That a new season Has begun … But will this new season Give me reason to Once again bloom in The soil of contentment Cautiously sown in a Fertile garden Lovingly tended One carefully Designed to last?
