I figured as much.
 So have you been makin' the rounds at your favorite watering hole lately? Or has all that karaoke driven you away since the last time I was there?

I haven't been there in ages... found a new place a friend of ours works there so we get wonderful prices on drinks... AND the guy I was seeing goes to the other place so I stay away...
|

Yeah? Your ex frequented that place Rookie dragged me to? Then yeah- you'd be better off NOT going there again.
I just hope your new watering hole isn't as "rough around the edges" as the old one kinda was- that old place was rather rough around the edges, you know?

it was ok.. lots of old timers that go there every single day to drink.. but a lot of ok people... ok and a lot of losers... but I liked a lot of people there...

it was ok.. lots of old timers that go there every single day to drink.. but a lot of ok people... ok and a lot of losers... but I liked a lot of people there... That's probably the best part of the "rough around the edges" watering hole- the ambience. You just don't get any of that at a shee-shee bar that serves all those high-falutin' umbrella drinks, you know? And hey Wiley. |

I prefer the high falutin bars but my sister doesn't and well they are way more expensive, you can't see to get a friendly bartender who works your tab for you...

Yeah. That's the problem with the shee-shee bars... the attitude and the outta-control prices.
Well... if you're ever in the L.A. area, the one watering hole you wanna go to is "The Oyster House" in Studio City- the hooch flows like a raging torrent of water, and the food's decent. The bar's layout is kinda reminiscent of the kinds of old-school bars back on the East Coast, too- not a whole lot of bright lights and stuff.

Yeah. The owner of the joint kinda looks like Larry King with the oversized glasses and stuff. Not only that, but Nicolas Cage hangs out there sometimes, too. Not that it matters any, that is.
