Honesty is so very important! Without it you leave room for doubt! With that a relationship whatever kind can't grow! So be honest!

Very true OP! Sorry for the children's posts, I hope that didn't scare you off of the forums! flowers

Let's see....

Women wear makeup to make themselves appear prettier than they really are. Women wear high heeled shoes to make themselves appear taller than they really are. Women wear push-up bras to make their tits appear bigger than they really are.

But they want an "honest man".

Ironic, ain't it?

I DON'T!!! See???? No makeup and I didn't lie about my height and the boobs.... well, WYSIWYG!!!

I think sometimes people THINK they are being truthful, but tend to rephrase and adjust truths when they see someone they want. I don't think they always mean to do it. Some are just players outright, but there are a lot of lost hurt lonesome people. One thing I learned lately is to NOT ANSWER a man when he asks, "What are you looking for in a man?". That is a clue that they will try to be Gumby for me.

I just say, 'tingles' that way Im honest and they cant turn it into what you suggest.

..oh, and i think the aforementioned comment was a generalisation, so Im sure the poster knows that there are women who do not do those things.

Since I don't date women, I wouldn't know their strategies at that level.noway laugh

I wear makeup, not much, but I do wear it.

However, I don't wear it to make myself pretty or to hide my face. Rather, I wear it to enhance what I already have.

I wear high heels. Not to make myself taller, but rather I like the way that I walk when I wear them. It's definitely a more feminine walk than when I wear my Sketchers.

When he wakes next to me in the morning, he gets to see what I look like. There's no deception.

Makeup and wearing high heel shoes are a very far stretch in the realm of being dishonest. Some people just like to look nice. I'm calling BS on your BS.

The truth of the matter is that honesty often doesn't matter. Any time I start talking with a potential date I tell them I'm short, poor, quirky, and cranky as hell. I go out of my way to hit them with reality and most prefer to ignore it. They make up their own version of me in their fantasy addled brains.

Wow, I so do not miss wearing heels like I used to have to as "Suzy Banker". And I've had so many mishaps while wearing them, it sure wasn't always "sexy"!!! You'd have to have been there to see those mishaps. And, I remember having to stand in them for too long and wishing I could yank them off due to discomfort. I envy women who can do it. Gosh, I remember a paif of stilettos my husband bought me to wear to his Christmas party. OMG!!! Talk about an ankle waiting to break!! Yeah, that was for him, not me.

I usually keep my makeup artist on standby for a date. That way she can transform me into a totally different face in just a few minutes. When I wash it off I can barely recognize myself.

spock whoa
