and back to Bush. geez. what about the presidents before him???? never mind...blame game. but all the earmarks in the past...why aren't those just as valid to someone???? same arguement can be used as the one i used. I am good friends with the Roy Carter family (Roy Carter Bulls). they raise the most famous rodeo bulls...they have ranches....they take care of it all

The point was that things are getting better.

And...it wasn't about Bush. It was about the Republican Congress under Bush and their hypocritical stance on earmarks today.

but yet people complain about the earmarks and such of the the past that got us where we are...but yet we spend money for things that aren't dire? If Bush earmarked these things....there would be bashing. But since it's Obama....

Congressman Chet Edwards, D-Waco, said he secured more than $1.8 million in earmarks for the county, including $1.3 million for the “rails to trails” project, more than $196,000 for advanced workforce training at the Baylor Advanced Research Institute, $98,257 for financial literacy at the Heart of Texas Workforce Development Center, $95,000 for Avance Waco and $166,250 for improvements at the Paul Quinn campus.

some of those are good things and i wouldn't mind paying for other states as well...but the little things....should be a state thing. i don't care if it's for texas or somewhere else....this hasn't changed what i have stated

The Republican had 15,000 earmarks in 2005. The Democrats are in power now and they're complaining about 9,000 earmarks. The pork is gone and earmarks are left.

my message to every one stop fighting republican and democrat, why cant we unite shouldnt we all just be thinking about the best way to protect our constitution and our rights in times like these?
should we not be focusing on sticking together and agreeing on important points, dont argue about what one person said or not or the way they say it, also ya know its funny i saw ron paul talking in the house the other day and some asshole stood up and said thanks for stating this even though it wasent what he had said at all.
ia m not gonna say exactly who or what it was but its just a example of the back stabbing underhandedness on both sides in politics.

how is blueberry studies and hog poop management suppose to rescue the economy?

the point was to inject spending into the economy to keep it from collapsing

instead everybody's personal pet projects got funded with my money

I wish I knew that. Every administration does it, just would like an explanation as to what it gives back to the economy, unless it puts jobs out. I don't know, but would like to. I would like to see a whole list of earmarks with a an explanation as to why it was needed. That would prevent some arguements I think at least the voters. I would see that as more tranparent then just a list of earmarks and we are suppose to guess what the deal is.

Figure out who added the Blueberry and the hog thing. Then, see how the sponsors are related to those getting the dough. If they aren't related, maybe the sponsor is getting a fair kickback.

What exactly is his vision of being presidnt? He says he has a vision of what the USA should be like, thenwhy is he letting congress do everything? He needs to stop going on late night TV shows and having town hall meetings and get his A$$ in the white house and be a LEADER not just delegate athourity to Speaker Pelosi and senator Reed. Who's policies are they? Is he just sitting back and saying I'll let them do it and if it doesnt work then I can blame them and it wont be my fault. I think it's time he reaches between his legs grabs a hold and starts being a leader!

His vision of being president is obvious by now. Nothing but lies and denial to blame anyone but himself for everything he does. Perfecting the art of the cover up, and going down in history for that. Milking this BS title of the first "Black" president, getting book deals and all that, like most criminals do. Getting back at white America for having to tie his shoes on his own. From reading her thesis, pretty obvious that his wife is a bona fide racist hater, and birds of a feather and all. And, while he is bring the terrorists here, and building a police force to use against us, not them, do you really need any more input to know that he seems to just want to do as much damage to "white" America, and who cares who else gets screwed along the way. Figure he will collect, scam, and skim all the money he can while in office, like most of the rest do, and then retire to a nice little muslim country that he buys with it.

Wow. A little angry, huh?

I'd say more than a little angry. He must assume that all white people think the same as he does. I'd say look around, America is not so white anymore and has not been for a very long time. One would think some are a bit isolated from the real world. Frankly, though I am white myself, I'm loving that America is not so white anymore. I stand for an America that represents all people, not just with white Americans that haven't come to grips with the changes over time.

Everything we know today is a combination of other cultures and other peoples. I value that.
