dust settles on flickering waters clinging to ripened white lotus floating between dark feathers and fading sun bleached flip flops she once surfaced for me in a tale a princess in scales she pressed her fin to the sky profound as an egg came the caress of a wing spinning, moist eyes blinking fanning above and below strikingly rich in waving bars of glowing slanted streaming sun rays this presence pierced blinded by water and sky instinctively merging rising and sinking into an easier forever
