Oooooodles of good thoughts, wishes, and multiple prayers directed out to you in Cali, Vanessa. If you wanna talk, you know that for my friends, my good friends, my clock has no hands.

Believe me, I know what extended family is all about. I am on an email group for the syndrome my son was born with. I sometimes get better advice from the mom's there than I do from my own family. My family tends to sugar coat things, but the mom's on our email group tell it like it is, where our boys are concerned, that is EXACTLY what I need to hear.

Nessa, you are in a tough spot but I've seen the courage you display in many of your posts. I was faced with the same situation and even though it's been fourteen months now since I lost my own mother, I still remember hoping and praying that I made the right decisions for Mom. Luckily when it came time for assisted living, Mom still was mentally alert and was very involved in the process of checking out when home best suited her needs and personality. We were lucky enough to chose a home that was very family oriented and the care Mom was given was exemplary. I was also blessed having a job that allowed me unlimited leave time to be with Mom. We had everything in place for her to move to where I live but unfortunately her health deteriated to the point that even with outside home health, I would not have been able to give her the quality of care she needed. I feel so blessed that in the end we were able to talk about everything but there is not a day that goes by that I don't wish for just one more day with Mom. God bless you and continue to give you strength for what lies ahead, Nessa.

I can only imagine how you feel about losing your Mother


for i have been so fortunate to have both of my parents still ,

and Dad is doing pretty darn well and is a WWII Vet at age 84

& my Mother is very mentally alert but physically tired at age 79


i am not a stranger to loss tho, for i have been tragically widowed twice

Ive lost many many friends & Family members to death over the decades

so pain and loss has certainly not been absent from my life ,

it's just that i can't bear the thought of my Folks passing

even though i truly believe that life goes on past this one

so all i can do is pick myself up by the bootstraps and forge forward

doing all that i can to try & make their time on Earth better

and to let them know how appreciative i am for all of their Love

my prayers are with you and your family in your time of need. best of luck and i have faith you will be just fine and do whats right.

My Mother is still very sick ..She cannot walk and on top of that


She has the stomach flu bad and is going through real hard times now


so , your kind prayers are of the utmost importance now please
