I could see the money being spent on a wedding cake, or anniversary cake, but can't see spending 1000 on a birthday cake for a kid.

well,, call me crazy,, but a cake mix and frosting from the store is less than like 4 dollars,,,, that is like saying Tv dinners are under $4 as well and we all know You would never eat those

Oh I agree, for something really special I would shell it out but not for just a birthday or something. But I'd build the whole party around the cake

Maybe we should all plan one big celebration and celebrate all of our birthdays. Steve can make the cake..... I hope we still can all get together and get a cabin in the Smokey Mountains sometime in the future.

If we go off-season to the Outer Banks, it's very inexpensive. We could probably get a house that sleeps 10 for about $500 for a weekend.

Usually November-March or April are the cheapest. Of course, a lot of stuff closes down in those months too.

Were just trying to figure out when your birthday is ((((((Pat))))) so Steve can make the old geezer cake. Then we will market it and sell it to others for the good price of $999
