Topic: I have a question..... | |
---|---|
The same reason that "nice guy" threads and "Why are all men jerks?" threads and the third-grade pee-pee and poo-poo threads get way more replies than anything with the least bit of intellect behind it. Lowest Common Denominator. I still post thoughtful and logical replies but those are the ones that go unnoticed. When I post 'fluff' then it's game on! Not all of us don't notice them. I pay a whole lot more attention to thoughtful replies than I do to " fluff ". |

I agree but at the end of the day, and when the looks fade, intelligence is what we are left with in a mate. It's nice to know that is within someone from the start! |

Humour IS intelligence.
To see the wit in a situation, is to show intelligence. I know plenty of MENSA's who couldn't crack a funny if their lives depended on it, because they believe their IQ is the WHOLE of them. Life out there is pretty sh*tfull for a lot of people, and humour is a way of releasing some of the tensions..if people can't see that, they may need to see a doctor and have their IQ surgically removed. |

Jess...I agree with your statement for the most part.
However, when humor, and only humor is used in the vast majority of a person's posts...it occasionally may show a lack of creativity. Especially when it's the same few " funny " things said 99% of the time. Humor is a very good thing....but try showing that you can really think without having to make a joke of something. If even only once in a while. It still wouldn't be a bad thing. |

I can't answer them anymore.

Hahahaha....DON"T go near Current Events, or Religion, or or or.... nah it's ok...I won't answer that.. |

I roll through the topics with massive amount of smileys fairly quick, while I read all responses in good topics. |

After posting a little over 7,000 (at least) questions, Why is it that the intelligent ones get less hits than ones that are simply random and thought up as I go? Probably because most here don't think of it as fun to solve a planar trigonometry problem? |

Take it to college level mathematics and watch 'em drop off like flies. |
