After posting a little over 7,000 (at least) questions, Why is it that the intelligent ones get less hits than ones that are simply random and thought up as I go?

people are just multi-tasking in other forums and just want to have fun.... short answers and move around alot to meet lots of different people...... nice picture!flowerforyou

Statistics.
Statistically speaking, most people can't find their ass with both hands, much less reply knowledgebly to an intelligent question.

And usually the intelligent questions aren't much fun.

 because people are stupid and don't like to think (which is a very dangerous thing) it's the same reason the "tap it or pass it" threads go on for 50 plus pages while the internet should be making "Society" smarter it is actualy dumbing people down a very scary future is here Welcome To The Brave New World be seeing you

Because posting something serious might actually show you have more on your mind than a layer of dust. It also might force you to have a solid opinion and back it up, therefore letting people get to know you. And we can't have that now can we?

You make a good point. Back when the internet first came about (actually ARPANET before that), I saw it as a great way to get and share information. We had been using dial up BBSes before that. It didn't take long after HTTP for me to see which way it was going. It is still a good source for information but you have to be careful because anyone can write anything and people will just believe it, apparently because someone can muster up a web page.

It is a disappointment but THIS is OK for what it is.
