There is never any guarantee that meeting someone will always work out, regardless of meeting them on the internet or in the flesh.Peoople will only let you know as much about them as they want you to know. Speaking of this at first hand; I have a friend who is currently going through a divorce after a 19yr marriage,( and had been seeing each other for some 4 years before marriage) he felt he knew his partner very well after so many years........WRONG!!! He fell ill last year and several trips to the doctor's discovered his wife has been trying to poison him and has been doing so for a good few months now. He also discovered she is having 2 affairs, one with a man over the internet ( cyber-sexterous) as well as sleeping with a female collegue of hers.I beg the question, do we ever get to know our partners?  It's something in the water...that's EXTREME...but definitely something going on... I spent all of today (Wednesday).. with a couple who have weathered 25 years of marriage, plus the years of dating prior, who are now parting. There are no guarantees...ever. The whole pink fluffy romanticism that some profess on here feeds the illusion...and Bonny, you and I have both had first hand experience with that. Jaded? Nope, much more realistic with the internet/online romance thing... as well as realtime dating/romance. I agree with you Jess  and even though i do have hope in real love  I am not naive' or unexperienced in the harsh realities of life it is risky ...this thing we call life & love even more so I hope that others heed these warnings too & are very very careful  nothing is guaranteed, so all we can do is hope & pray for the best Thats right

Pardon ? would you mind explaining that comment please ? ohhhhhhhh. ..that is soo soo sweet well, i am so flattered & i have known you for so long  & i guess i just never picked up on the drift, I'm sorry well, you could come visit me, you know ... California is not in outer space , although some people may think it is  with all the weird stuff going on by some of the residents of this state  but it is mostly in Southern California , that should be an entirely different state with the phony hollyweird mentality  |
