Making a survey here. If someone would like to keep track then thank you for doing so as I don't go on that much anymore, but I do check in occassionally to see how everyone reacts to the question.drinker

1 point for each - yea or nay

There is no 'maybe'. If you are undecided don't vote. thank you.

If you like to write the reason why you trust your government or not then please do so.

It used to depend on who was in control of the government..In the old days I trusted Republicans to do the right thing and I don't trust the Democrats, they just continue to socialize America as they have been trying to do for years. I used to trust the republicans before they were in complete power and became republicrats, I used to trust them to provide for the protection of our country and fight the enemies, but now I trust them to become even more like democrats that want to take more of my money away from me, take my guns away from me, try to take my religious beliefs away from me as well. I also trust them along with democrats to infringe on my rights and pass more laws that go against my constitutional right as free citizens...I don't trust them to rediscover what America has always been, and can become again, a Great Nation of Free People, Free market ideals, where those that work hard, make the right choices and do the right things can acheive the American Dream..

Trusting the government is insane. Governments are evil by necessity. And a necessary evil. There is no way around it.

It is the duty of every patriot to be ready to stand against the oppression of their government.

None other than Hitler himself said he learned what to do with "undesirables" from U.S. Native American Policy.

in order to truly trust someone, i have to know them. let me say that there ARE a few people in government that i know, and yes, trust.

trust is earned over time, and it takes a solid history...knowing that the behavior is reliable...to back that. the government, no offense, changes too often for that. policies switch and then revert. it's...a flowing river based on the principles of whomever happens to be in the hotseat.

so no, i don't.

I'm not... Being a Middle Eastern born U.S. citizen, they are constantly watching me and my whole family. They tap into our phone lines and listen in whenever we make long distance calls to talk to relatives in Iran and Turkey. I got picked "at random" at every leg of my trip last year from L.A. to N.Y. (with a layover in Detroit) and back. Yay! I got racially profiled....! It's ok though, I didn't really mind. (although at La Guardia on the way back, they did more than just search my bags... I had to strip, bend over, spread my ass cheeks and cough)

So I know they are watching me, but since nobody in my family has anything to do with any terrorist organization, let them watch me all they want. All they have on me so far is which dirty nasty porn sites I've visited online! Who cares?
