davinci, peak oil a myth? What? Do you think that there is a never
ending supply? That's absurd. There has to be and end to it. Peak supply
just means we hit the halfway threshold and eventually it will cost more
to extract what is left than it will be worth to retrieve, yes
eventually it will happen.

Gas today in Indianapolis $3.28 regular grade. I get mine at Costco,
went this afternoon - OMG the lines. It was only $2.97 - people were
filling their gas cans too. I'm considering letting my lawn grow.

forgot who, but someone mentioned "were's all the R&D". My opinion - if
there is any true lack of crude oil, I think those making the most money
(from the sale of refined oil) would have had the foresight to deversify
and do thier own R&D. But since they have not, there are abviously
other issues, involved, like on a government level. They apparently are
not alarmed, hell, have you seen the number of "flights" our politicians
are making at OUR expense, at these fuel prices? STOP flying, if the
airlines suffer, maybe they will have a bigger voice than us little
folks.

Check out the US patent office.

there are lots of alternatives. They are most of them tied up in
litigation or bought up by business.

The will bring them out when weve been milked as much as misplace greeed
allows.

some of them are dificult to control as far as pricing. It is hard to
snag risidual or daily money from something (for urban transport) that
can be recharged by the sun.

2.87 and it's killing me
funny thing back in my country gas is just 1.50
and overthere people make strikes if the government wants to raise the
gas even 5 cents.
