but I've always found pick up lines cheesy and lame. But I've known guys who use those and still get the woman! With that in mind, how do you prefer a man/woman to initiate a conversation with you?

"Hi, how are you?" or "Hi, my name is _____" or "Do you smoke?" or even "Do you smoke weed?"...though I get wary about that last one.

Depending on the situation a pick up like can make you or break you. Of course it has to be a quality one. Most people who used a pick up line with me I mostly just brushed them off, however if it made me laugh and was one I never heard of before then I will usually talk to them.
I think guys who use them and actually make it have extreme confidence. You can say the most annoying line out there but its all about after the delivery. If they just initiate the conversation afterwards and dont even give the other person a chance to reply then the "victim" as I will call it, their head will disregard the line and focus on what the guy/girl said after that. Thats my theory. If a girl came up to me and expected to get my attention they better say something honest or just start a conversation. I think thats the best thing because it dosent come off as such an attempt to get laid. |

Smile and keep looking at her. When she looks at you, don't turn away or move your eyes just look right into her eye, then waive with your hand just a little and then get up and go up to her and say something along this line
"I couldn't help not to notice, but you are just so pretty and I just couldn't get my eyes off you". I Hope I am not causing any discomfort, and I hope I'm not bothering you." - or something similar. Keep throwing flirt lines, how you just couldn't get your eyes off and how amazingly attractive she is to her, but don't lie and never compare her to a famous person like Madonna or someone else, especially if she looks nothing like her. If she responds positively (they gonna say "no" anyway, so watch her reaction instead and read her body language) then keep going with the discussion and so on.... |
