Ok a story

3 of us went together, were staying at a ladies uncle's house.
Uncle owned the largest underground utility company in the area for years (sold it 10yrs ago) & is quite a guystill at 75. Has always drank alot. some recent health challenges have caused wife #2 to try to FORCE him to quit drinking. He has reduced his drinking, she thinks he is just drinking wine, like 2-3 glasses a nite. But he does woodworking in his 80 x 40 play shed, all day. He has his own hidden bottle to sip from, thru the day, there. All this setting the stage for dinner Fri. night.

Now, other guy & I have been in meetings since 9AM, we bail on some rahrah stage stuff, to go have a good Mexican dinner. we are seated & start to order a drink. Micki (wife #2) quietly throws a hissy, tells us we can't drink, BECAUSE Bill might SMELL it & want one. He is ordering a beer, I don't drink beer. So all thru dinner, I drink water, knowing when I get to the house, we will just go up to the shed & have a few shots.

She thinks she can control him, what a dream.

Was a miss type, was meant to be "wife#2"; I have fixed it.
She is actually in her mid 50's.
Just wants to be VERY controlling.
I was going to cook a couple eggs, as I don't eat shrimp, one nite.
QUOTE "NOT in MY kitchen"

I had a sandwich.

This old boy & I became good friends, 2 years ago.
I am among the few that can drink whiskey with him.
2 yrs. ago, we started at noon & kept going till midnight.
No mix, just water & ice.
There was 2 gal. drank in 5 days.
I was at the convention, during the day for 3 of those days.
Otherwise it would have been 3 or 4.

Left a good car in Denton, Texas once. It was a MX Brougham. I had put new freeze plugs in it at Harrison, Arkansas but I guess they had came out. The RPM gauge was reading higher than the speedometer gauge and I couldn't keep enough antifreeze in it. I just left it on the side of the rode and walked into Denton. Later, I hitch hiked into Houston. I hope you are having a good time on your trip.

Ok, getting ready for another trip.
Will be flying into Norfolk Va. about 4-27, will start driving 4-29 0r 4-30, headed to Pa. & visit with Music's group for a couple days.
The driving on I-80, back to Iowa. First leg,if anyone wants to meet for coffee, let me know. Be glad to stop & chat, breaks the boredom.

Then about 5-9, I will be heading northwest to the Seattle area.
I have yet to lay out my route, so if I might pass close to you, let me know. I am transporting my son's 2 dogs & big jeep wagon, to his new duty station, of Banger Washington.

Also, any additional phone #'s, so I can chat with people, while driving. Already talk to a few of you when I am traveling, cell phone & head set, help pass the time.

Well, the original plans with my son changed, recently.
Changing my plane tickets, so I can HELP them out, has now cost me $250.00 roughly. Things we do for our kids & they are in their early 30's.grumble grumble grumble grumble

I know... I know... didn't have to do it.

You know Sage that there is always an open invite if you ever go through Des Moines (that goes to any of you great people) to have coffee. The biggest problem is being home now that I am back to work and school at night. Just give a holler and I'll let you know if I'm free. That'd be kind-a cool cuz my birthday is May 8th...It'd be pretty close to that date that you go through Iowa on I-80.
