Hello, I am looking for a used vehicle that is reliable and fuel efficient. I've read numerous consumer reports praising this vehicle for it's fuel efficiency and reliability. So what I want to know is the common issues involved with this model and what your experiences were regarding this vehicle. Also, I have found a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE available for purchase for $3,990 on this dealership's website. It has 117,638 Miles on it and I'm considering purchasing it. Any and all your answers will be greatly appreciated.

It has been a great car for me. I do the regular oil changes. I have had issues recently with the starter. It is fixed and as reliable as it was when I bought it.
One strange thing that has been going on for a couple of years is that sometimes the digital clock won't work. I turn on the interior light and it turns on. Maybe something electrical, but no biggie to me.

Toyotas are a great car, I have a 1996 camry v6. One of the things you want to make sure is that the timing belt has been replaced , if not it's not that big of an expense usually the water pump is done at the same time due to the location, also do a carfax report on it make sure it was in no accidents.
