It sound to me like the brake light switch on the brake pedal is worn out and you either need a new on or to adjust the one that is there.

Look under the brake pedal and see if it is making contact with the pedal when it is no being pressed down, then if it is not have a local mechanic or friend just replace it. It is very simple and should take no more than 10 - 15 minutes.

Good luck.

Take it to a mechanic, the abs light has come on because there is a failure in that system ( usually a sensor at one of the wheels) Depending on the what the vehicle it is could be electrical as well.

you and I both....never met a good mechanic that didn't drink and cuss. Seems like the more you drink the more you can figure out what the designers and engineers meant to accomplish. Says something about them doesn't it:laughing:

It could also be something going on with some sensors, probably that with your anti-lock brakes. The only way to be sure would be to have your mechanic do a check of your computer, as any trouble codes will come up.
