Homefirst's medical director, Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, told us he is not aware of any cases of autism in never-vaccinated children; the national rate is 1 in 175, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "I said I know I can tap into this community and find you large numbers of unvaccinated homeschooled," said Bradstreet, "and we can do simple prevalence and incidence studies in them, and my gut reaction is that you're going to see no autism in this group."" It does make one wonder!!! And, just my own two cents here.... but, my kid was so smart and precosious until she was about 4 or 5. Then, her thinking processes started to unravel. She ended up having ADD, or what they THINK is ADD. It crossed my mind that she may have mild autism, and it also crossed my mind that it may not have been a coincidence that soon after she had a battery of immunizations her learning capabilities spiraled. But, heck, I suppose it could be anything from air pollution to nitrates!! We'll never know!!!

Its interesting because the main stream media never bothered with the story. It makes one wonder.

many people that were vaccinated didn't have autism. so i don't know if certain people had a reaction of sorts to it or if it has to do with something else

There has been a rash of TV shows and media demonizing parents for not vaccinating because it will put the other kids at risk. Hogwash! There have been numerous negative stories about the Amish not vaccinating in our local news over past 2 years. Goes to show the degree to which media is controlled.
