Mad Man? Creative Genius? Or was he the real king of Rock and Roll?
If anything he was a damn good musician but he also had some scathing things to say to congress and in his music about society at large. He was one of the most prolific artists in his day. Likewise he left behind a tremendous musical legacy. Of all the musicians in the Rock Circuit he was one of the very few straight laced musicians in the days of psychedelia. he did not do any drug at all and also was known to be a slave driver and a perfectionist and brutal towards his band. He demanded perfection and got it except for his album Jazz From Hell which sucked donkey prong. I say he was an expanding influence of my conscious without drugs! TOP THAT! |

Total respect for the man. Doesn't make the top of my list, but I appreciate his originality and brilliance.

Creative Genius. A Rock god.A Rock N Roll King
His music writing was so intense. All most people ever listened to his music for was the lyrics.Their loss. There will never be another Frank Zappa. People years from now will listen to his music and compare it to the classics. |

most intelligent rockers of this genre. His lyrics and musicianship will be forever remembered. Yes he was tough on his band, but he wanted nothing but the best! I've loved his stuff since I was a kid. He even named an album "Apostrophe'" --
I think I've got almost everything he ever released, too -- my favorite guitar player of all time, and the lyrics -- priceless! He taught me everything I know about "conceptual coninuity".... |

Frank Zappa was a musical Genius ! He was noted for top notch Musicianship and inspiring original recording techniques. He was a great live performer /composer ! Exploring all possibilities of Musical creativity !
