Topic: Here's What's Wrong With "Who Do You Like" Threads | |

I cant say that i have seen Lex make too many 'nothing posts'. There is usually some point being made or joke being told. Some people have 20 gazillion posts but 19 gazillion of them were just smileys, (hugs) or hi's. Why is it people feel the need to say hello in the threads, to EVERYBODY? I dont do hellos. Hello, Dan. Piss off JAG! lol |

18,000 posts, yes. But, having read a bunch of your posts in my time here, you, at least, have something to say a lot of the time. Just because people may not GET it, doesn't mean you don't have something to say. Well, that's how I see it too. It's always kind of interesting to see how people react to something they not only don't understand, but don't even have enough information about to BEGIN to understand. Then it's like Jump-To-Conclusion City. Whatever. I always say it's just a choice they make. |

I cant say that i have seen Lex make too many 'nothing posts'. We already have an inordinate number of those. I don't want to exacerbate the glut. A recent article in Vapid Post Monthly indicated that the ratio of "nothing posts" to "substantive posts" is somewhere in the neighborhood of 406-1, with minor fluctuations occurring around holidays such as Arbor Day and Bob Saget's birthday. |

Just kidding - I agree with Dan in that you usually have something productive and thought-provoking to say. But that really was a nothing post |

Is today one of those days? Just kidding - I agree with Dan in that you usually have something productive and thought-provoking to say. But that really was a nothing post I prefer to think of it as topical satire. Like someone pushing Billy Mays in front of a steamroller. |

I am thinking of changing my name to "I'm not telling", then maybe someone will admit to liking me.

I always laugh when I read those threads and page after page say 'I'm not telling'. My feelings aren't hurt that my name isn't ever mentioned, so I don't much worry if I unintentionally hurt someone by not naming them. Of course there are going to be people that we forget, who don't immediately cross our minds. I don't have that much of an ego that it's going to be crushed because someone doesn't like me, and I would imagine that we're all adult enough to realize that we won't all be on everyone's list of favourites. Personally, ever since I started posting in forums, only one guy ever caught my complete interest, not just on a romantic level. He's the wittiest person that I know and can get across entire paragraph, with feeling, in just a word or two: QMan There are all sorts of people whose posts I read with interest, either from an education standpoint and/or one of humour: Dan99, PinkLady, Heathersaygobucks, lillith and lily, waterloosunset, talldub, geniusboy, etrain, rskit, singmesweet, mr_music. Of course, now I've drawn a blank and will have to make another post! Thanks! |
