Ya know regardless what you do or what you send even if it was just a card it is the idea that you even thought of it anyway. It is the little things in life that actually captures a woman's heart and her attention. bigsmile

blushing I dunno. I just had the thought come to me a few days ago. Didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary to me.

: shrugs :

Maybe to you it is not out of the ordinary but you would be surprised how things as such never cross most minds. Ya see when men remember dates and such it does in fact grab a certain area of a woman's heart. Good luck to you in what ever you decide believe me it will touch her to even know you took the time you did in remembering the day.bigsmile Regardless it is still the thought that counts!!

Isn't that a sweet gesture!

Tulips are personally my favourite; however carnations are quite long lasting and not very expensive.

What month is her birthday and see if you can get her that flower? She might further appreciate your extra efforts.

Sunflowers or wildflowers are nice...carnations always seemed sort of cheesy to me but some people love them.

Either way I think you sending flowers on that day is sweet.

With SPRING in the air...why not have a potted bunch of spring flowers...tulips or daffodils...delivered to her...when they are done flowering inside, she can replant them outside. They will revisit and multiply every spring.flowerforyou

Now this idea I really like. She would have a yearly reminder of what an awesome guy I am.

Unless of course I piss her off and she takes the lawnmower and rototiller to them....lmao

Thank you.flowerforyou

Been a few days, but I wanted to let you all know....

She got the flowers today ( a day earlier than I had planned ) and she called me to let me know that she absolutely loved them.

I wound up sending her a small arrangement of lillies.

Thank you, ladies, for helping out an utterly clueless guy.

Sunflowers are always nice, They make really pretty ones that are a deep orange, with a tad of a purple tint. They are unique.

I agree. Sunflowers are my favorite. I'd absolutely love it if a guy gave them to me.

There are some pretty funky orchids arrangements out there. That would match with a rock concert :)

Well...orchids are definitely on the list at some point in the near future. But I also found out that her favorite flowers are hyacinths. So those will be on the list too. :-)

She wasn't the only one. I was as well. I had to find out if she would be home Thursday ( the day the flowers were supposed to be there ) and she said that she had a doctor's appointment but wasn't sure if it was in the morning or afternoon.

I asked her to find out so I could see if I could get the delivery time changed.

I asked her this morning if she had found out, and that's when she called me to let me know they had already gotten there.

Luckily, Lillies are her second favorite flower because Lily was her grandmother's name.

Again. My deepest thanks goes to all the ladies for making suggestions and helping a normal schlub like me get it right.flowerforyou

I honestly don't know if it had " tall thingys " or not...lol

I just went in to the florist shop here in town, told her what I wanted, wrote out what I wanted on the card, and let her have at it. I mean, if you can't trust the judgment of a small town florist....who CAN ya trust with something like that?? lol

The edible arrangements are nice but there's so much fruit you need an army to eat it all. That's cool if she's got people around to help her eat it.

Have you ever heard of cookies by design.

This place had the best cookies in the world and they deliver just abuut anywhere in the world.

I have to be careful with stuff like that. She is Diabetic. I will have to look into the site a bit further to find out if there are options for a restricted diet.
