Here in Canada (well Ontario anyways, not sure about the rest of Canada),we have these graphic labels in the front of our cigarette packages. There are a couple others, but these are the main ones. And I am sorry but "C" makes me giggle.

Anyways, do they have these kinds of labels where you are?

For those of you that do, and smoke, do find it keeps you away from lighting one?

What if you don't have the labels. Would seing them each time you buy a pack of smokes, make you consider not buying them?

I guess these questions can go all ways. Whether you are a smoke or not, have the labels or don't.

I guess the main question should be is: What kind of effect would these types of labels have on you?

no..here in america our government just keeps raising the prices so that they can obtain as much money from us before we die of lung cancer..plus it helps their depopulation drive..twofold..
they spent so many years trying to prove that the cigarette companies knew about the harmful effects for years...and when they finally proved it they cut themselves in for a piece of the pie...its all about the money here...smokin

Wow not here in the states believe I would have to put duct tape over those labels lol noway

Even though I no longer smoke if I did I would cover them up so I would not have to look at them all the timesick

Oh I hear ya. It is the same here. Just for one normal 25 pack of smokes is $10.50.

I gave up smoking August 2000, because I thought they were getting to expensive. Back then, I smoked the cheapest brand and they were $6.20 @20pack. The same pack now costs $11.00. All cigarette packs have the graffic pictures on them in New Zealand. At the current price, I am pleased I gave up years ago.

Do they have cool labels on condoms in Canada, too? Like something in the lines of "If you don't where these, THIS *insert gruesome picture here* is going to happen to you". Hehehehe.

$11 a pack? Jesus!!! I'd quit too.

I'd smoke a brand that made a solid black box with a silver skull and crossbones. But I think a bleeding brain is a bit much.

Condoms are only fun for a while. I've worn condoms for a couple of years. Still no dates.

I've started doing that lately, too, because of the continuous raise in price. It's a time-consumer, but the biggest drawback is, they taste like ass.

Mine aren't too bad...of course, I was used to smoking generics before...& handrolling might be a pain in the azz...but I smoke a lot less, too.
