The harasser may post comments intended to cause distress to the victim, or make them the subject of harassment by others. They may pose as the victim and post offensive comments or send offensive messages in their name. The victim may be signed-up for spam, porn sites and questionable offers.

There is cyberharassment! then how do you make them stop It all depends on how much information you have about them. The website in the OP has come information that will be helpful. If you know a name and city, you may be able to contact the local police where the offender lives. If you have a telephone number, even better because the police can track the address with less hassles. Often, some of these individuals don't provide any information and just harass for the sake of it. But you can report them to other sources (check out website in OP). If you know their name and address (or can get the address), you can have a 'no contact' PPO serve to them. If you want any more info becca, please feel free to contact me by email. |

Isn't it a fact that in some cases, it can fall under federal jurisdiction, with harsher penalties?
Wasn't that the case with the Mom who created the fake profile on MySpace, where the girl committed suicide? Not sure if I have my facts right, so please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. |

That happened in my city - St. Louis. |

Well with that case, online actions caused a death. I am not sure what the exact rules are. However, if you are being stalked or harassed online, you do have recourse. |

Since I dumped his ass (he was straight up weird and obsessed with me) he's come back in different ways to haunt me ever since. It's gotten pretty dang scary .. |
