People will always assume.

But if you play into stereotypes, don't get angry when you get stereotyped yourself.

Homophobia...

Why is it that if you don't agree with someone's life choices ( which I believe are one's own buisness), you're tagged with a "phobia"?
Maybe the gay community suffers from "heterophobia".

Just a thought...

I didn't like wearing dresses or playing with dolls. I like men and not women. I think your judgement about the little girl obviously being Homosexual seems to me an assumption you should not be making. So, you are being just as predujiced and judgemental in the opposite direction in my opinion.

I know who's family. and that girl was gay. i know many children who are gay and when theyre in their teens they come out to me.

I know she was gay. i wasnt judging. i was stating a fact.

First off We don't want acceptance, we want respect.

Second off we dont suffer from heterophobia. thats probably one of the dumbest things ive ever read.

98% of my friends are straight.

there is a lot of homophobia.

people fear what they dont know hence homosexuals...

which turns into homophobia..

u can't know persons sexuality w/o just through observance, it's like stating because a guy cross dresses he's gay or visa versa. not always an indication of they're sexuality.

It's not always fear. Some people just don't like it. No fear at all. I think many gays think we spend all our time thinking about them.

thus...

heterophobia

Does anyone else see that OP is upset she was judged to be gay by that mother based on her appearance and she then judged the girl to be gay based on her mother's reaction to her appearance?

Is it just me?

we dont think about heteros.

a lot of people who are homophobic are gay themselves.

some are straight.

and there's people who simply dont like the lifestyle.

thats the truth.

straights are really the last of our concerns.

thats not the same thing. i know for a fact she was gay. it wasnt just observance it was also my gaydar.

ive met plenty of tomboys who were straight and i knew they werent gay.

i have some experience in this.

i know what im talking about.

for her sake i wish she wasnt gay.

I just hope her mom respects it.

my mom told me to rot in hell now she accepts it, i know in heart she doesnt but she tries to convince herself that she does.

that hurts me, because ive told her that she doesnt have 2 accept my lifestyle.

i dont want her to lie about her real opinion.

actually i wrote what i was wearing because i make it obvious im gay. im not bothered by being looked at and labeled because they are right.

im not angry with people for that because i do make it pretty clear about my preference.

my posting was about the mothers comment i just didnt want to make it short.

on top of that i wasnt judging. i know what i was talking about and i saw the childs pain when i looked into her eyes.

the difference is that i know that look of pain personally, she was just conufused because as a child she doesnt rly understand.
