I believe that is not only illegal but unconstitutional!

If he was a good doctor he would have nothing to fear!

I don't think so. By a principle of free association, it is entirely up to two contracting parties to draw up a condition that will guide their interaction.

Unlike in some fascist or socialist society, no doctor or plumber of baker, should be forced to do anything on any condition he doesn't like.

What is illegal in saying "if you do this, I will do that"? What is unconstitutional here? Where does our constitution makes a slave out of a free man and bonds him to service anyone?

Remember, unless you're stealing from a doctor, the exchange is equal. You do not have to give him your money, if you do not like the conditions of the exchange.

So if a doctor feels an unmarried mother who is having pregnancy complications has committed an immoral act by becoming pregnant and chooses to let her and the baby die is okay?

Sorry, there is a huge difference between a baker and a physician.

And? What is the difference?

I have issues related to this topic. My grandmother died from a botched up gallbladder removal surgery. Her death in her 50's should never have happened.

A friend's child will never function due to a negligent OB/GYN. The child would have been born healthy if the doc had been doing his job.

How is your issue related to this topic?

The case that you describe was an instance where the doctor did not do what he took upon himself to do, right? She did not sign any contracts with him, stating that he is free to do her harm?

I'm not able to read the article - computer problem today.

From what Lynann said - gag order. I would hate it if we weren't able to have complained about the doctors that were negligent with my grandma and my friend's child.

No, she *****es about doctors refusing service unless a patient agrees to keep the results on the down low.

While a dumb thing for anyone to agree to, it is still their business.

The article didn't mean a gag order on a previously done butchered job for which there was no specific agreement to keep it quiet.

Got it. Can't read the article or have smileys - grumble.

Yes, it's their business but I wouldn't sign the agreement. I guess it would mean another doc for me.

Same here, I would not sign it, seek another doctor, and put an information about this on line.

What's up with your computer? Can't see smileys? Download CCleaner,

http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloading

and run the cleaning and registry parts, with everything checked, then reboot.
