Wow...good point. But when facts are facts and you can't back the facts with facts (which Liberals fail to do), then it almost shows mental instability on the Liberals part when they get angry because you are right......

I think it is an instability of sorts, but I am not sure it is mental. Lack of character, may-be?

They have this preconceived opinions about what hurts people and what help people.

Then, out of nowhere you come on and logically show them it is not so.

They are surprised, at first, that their long held "truths" fail them.

They get angry, because, they are sure, they must be right (don't we all like to be right?), and yet, they can't seem to find a way to prove it.

Next, of course, they get emotional. They say you're un-American, un-patriotic, greedy, selfish, and lack sympathy. This is because their understanding is based on these emotions, on doing the right thing, and somehow, it all supposed to work out. You're questioning their knowledge and understanding, therefore you must be denying all the things their understanding is based on.

Then they post smirks. This one is clearly a character flaw. This phase means, they do not wish to pursue the mental battle, nor to acknowledge a deserved defeat while keeping at least the honor, but rather hopefully place you in a weak position by "obviously" being laughed at, and then it is not a hard thing to do to beat the weak, or at the very least to ignore.

I do not hate democrats. I feel that I wish I could have helped them to see things, but I am not a great teacher. I have tried many times, and failed in most cases. How can I counter in few posts what have been embossed in their brains by years of either governmental schooling or ignoring the subject completely?

I feel that many liberals are very good country men. This is because I remember, that like I said, their understanding is not based on knowledge, but on "doing the right thing". While this is not a recipe for actually achieving the right thing, how can I honestly blame the one who is a liberal for basing his ideology on "doing the right thing"?

This is the tragedy of the situation then. These very people, the liberals and commies (not talking about their leaders here), are the best people to have around, and yet, they are the cause of all suffering, by having no understanding of what to do, and a full power to do something at the same time.

Yeah, my school of thought is.....NOTHING WRONG with wanting to do the right thing....the problem is they fail to see how their actions affect other people. I agree it is a character flaw....but it is one of those things that when they run out of things to say, they bring out the big guns and attack you.

I also have nothing against democrats; just as long as they are looking out for the American people...I know that some Republicans are that way as well, but it really isn't an issue of either Republican nor Democrat; but of Liberals and Conservatives. You can have some Liberal Republicans (McCain) and conservative Democrats (Can't think of any names at the moment).

As long as they are trying to do the right thing as you said, I have no issues; just as long as they don't hurt others in the process like smearing their name, finger pointing, etc.

I stand corrected. I meant Liberals vs. Conservatives.

The only conservative I know is Ron Paul.

Besides, lest we forget, the Democratic party was started by Andrew Jackson and Van Buren, who did manage to save America for a while by destroying the central bank.

The truth is finally out....

© 2009 WorldNetDaily

Only 38% of Dems claim excellent mental health
Results of Gallup poll no shock to shrink who authored book on liberal madness

When the Gallup pollsters asked Americans what they thought about their own mental health, they were intrigued by the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

While 58 percent of Republicans reported having excellent mental health, only 38 percent of Democrats described themselves that way.

This is a dangerous slope to track on.

- "Mentals" are usually sure they are as sharp as a razor.
- A wise man, on the other hand, once said: "I only know that I know nothing".

Haha thats because Dems are realists and Reps are delusional psychopaths.......

ummmm sure...you don't hang around here much do you?

So...this article. Do you think any of this is scientifically plausable? I mean...it was written by a doctor...

I don't think there can be any truth to it.
The way I see it, there can be two cases:

1
If we are talking about politicians, then this suggestion that Democrats are mentally inferior is ridiculous. These people have figured out how to make poor people even poorer, and have managed to secure their support. Got to have a brain to get that done!

2
If we are talking about voters... I guess we can find crazy people on both sides. Nutz.

But liberal thinking doesn't have it's root in mental sickness. Instead, the root is in lack of knowledge. Both Mises and Rothbard have noted that to think the way a socialist thinks, is natural to human mind.

Only when you actually study the subject, it becomes clear that we naturally have no understanding of it.

Let me put forward this analogy:

Naturally, it seems that the sun rotates around the earth. Only when we study and examine the actual order of things, we arrive to the realization that it is quite opposite to what we naturally thought.

Economics and social order is similarly misunderstood without studying. Founding fathers were very well educated people (government brainwashing is not education), and they have devised a system which is despised by most Americans today. Do you think this is because most Americans today are knowing more, or less than the founding fathers did?
